Choose a sink with a daily load
The kitchen sink is one of the busiest points in the house. Dishes, vegetables, pots, greasy surfaces and sometimes large household items are washed here. Therefore, the sink should not only be chosen with a beautiful shape.
The first question is how you use the kitchen. If you cook often, a deep and wide bowl is more convenient. In a small apartment, a compact sink saves space, but a very small bowl will tire you every day.
Material and type of insert
Stainless steel sink is practical, durable and universal. A composite or granite-effect sink creates a calmer, interior-adjusted visual. When choosing, pay attention to care, resistance to scratches and matching the color to the surface.
Surface-mounted, built-in and undermount sinks provide different looks and maintenance. The bottom mount is clean, but relies heavily on surface material and mount quality.
Kitchen siphon and space inside the cupboard
A kitchen sink siphon gets dirty more often than a bathroom towel siphon. Grease and food residue cause a slow drain over time. Therefore, a good siphon should be easy to clean.
If a bin, filter or cleaning items are to be placed under the sink, check the shape of the siphon in advance. Sometimes a flat or close-to-the-wall option saves a lot of space inside the closet.
Mixer and accessories
The kitchen faucet should fit the size of the sink. A large pot can easily fit under a tall nose, but a small bowl can spill more water. A movable or retractable spout is practical if large dishes are washed frequently.
Accessories such as a strainer, soap dispenser, board or waste disposer change the daily use of the sink. It is better to choose them together with siphon and closet space.
